Hello World! Why don't you come to Miyajima in Hiroshima Japan!
My name is Toshio. I've lived in Hiroshima for about sixty years. I love this area very much.
If you're planning to travel around in Japan, I strongly recommend you visit this Hiroshima area.
Every year many people visit here for sightseeing, and they are not only from domestic area but from overseas. This is one of the most popular destinations in Japan for the visitors from abroad.
私の名前は敏夫です。広島にほぼ６０年間住んでおります。私はこの広島地方が大好きです。もし、あなたが、日本を旅行してみたいと思われたら、私は是非、この広島に来られることをお勧めします。毎年多くの観光客が広島を見に来られます。ここは、国内からだけでなく、海外からも多くのが来られます。 海外の旅行客にとって、最も人気の良い行き先の一つとして、あげられます。
Why do they choose Hirosima as the travel destiny? Because there are lots of famous, historical and beautiful places to see here, like the Peace Park and the A-bomb Dome, Miyajima, Sukkeien ( Japanese Garden ), Hiroshima castle, and more.
なぜ広島が、旅先として選ばれるのでしょうか？ ここには、、有名な、歴史的な、しかも美しい、たくさんの観光地があります。たとえば、平和記念公園があり、原爆ドームであり、宮島であり、縮景園や広島城があるからです。

Before telling the story of Miyajima, I'd like to introduce my best partner " Miyajima Man "
He's a large stock of knowledge of Miyajima. He'll talk to you more and more about Miyajma on my behalf later.

What's Miyajima? It's the name of a granite island, located in Hatsukaichi City adjacent to Hiroshima city, It's one of the world cultural heritages and one of Japan's three most beautiful spots.
宮島とは何でしょうか？ それは花崗岩でできた島で、広島市に隣接した廿日市市に位置している島です。それは、世界文化遺産として登録されたところであり、日本で最も美しい三つの景色の一つでもあります。
The island has another name "Itsukusima". The name is from Itsukusima Sintou shrine and it means "sacred island".
There are lots of sanctuaries or sacred palaces in the island. They say taht many historical Gods and Goddess spirits inhabit with the nature of the island.
この島は、もひとつ別の名前「厳島」でも呼ばれています。名前は厳島神社の名から来ており、その意味は「神聖な島」という意味
です。島にはたくさんの祠や社殿があり、歴史的な多くの神や女神の精霊が島の自然に宿っているといわれています。
In thoes pictures (upper-below), the red O-torii gate which sits on the seashore in front of Itsukusima shrine is the symbol of Miyjima.
There are not only Shinto shrines in the island but many Buddhist temples and pagodas, all surrounded by beautiful forests or marvelous mountains.
上下の写真に見られる、朱塗りの大鳥居は宮島のシンボルで、厳島神社の前の浜辺に鎮座しています。
島には神社だけでなく、多くの仏教寺院や仏舎利塔があり、すべて美しい森や山に囲まれています。

そして、その島には多くの種類の動植物や歴史的な遺跡があちらこちらにあります。
Do you know each of those things has its own stories?
Most tourists who visit Miyajima say the red Torii and shrines with their background of mountain's green are quite beautiful.
But, what a waste! It's pity, they just only see the views with little knowledge of the historical stories behind.
これらの物には、それぞれの物語があることを知っていますか？
宮島にこられた、ほとんどの旅行者は、朱塗りの鳥居と神社が後ろの山の緑を背景に、まったく美しいと言います。しかし、もったいない！残念なことに、ほとんどの方は、その歴史的背景や物語を少ししか知らずに、ただ景色を堪能するだけに終わっています。
